US States Climate Action Planning
Our planning and engagement processes with US states have included comprehensive climate action planning initiatives in all regions of the country chartered by governors through Executive Orders and public law. They involved collaboration by hundreds of stakeholders from civil society, business, and government supported by project formation, evaluative facilitation, and technical assistance by CCS. The end results of these decision processes have included measurement of greenhouse gases and other important baselines in all economic sectors, and formal stakeholder-based agreements on the design, analysis, and implementation of policies and measures in all sectors that achieve climate, economic, and energy goals at the same time. CCS has provided similar support for local governments and regions in the US and used this template for capacity building and low carbon development outside the US.
