American Reinvestment and Recovery Act Financing

CCS served as a lead contractor to the US Department of Energy from 2010-2014 for the implementation of American Recovery Act funds for energy efficiency and renewable energy. Many of its projects are listed on the map below.

We support implementation of sustainable economic, energy, and environmental systems that generate and require new public and private investment. We work hard to ensure that inadequate funding is not a barrier to state climate plans. We understand how to design and mobilize investment responses for policies and plans in order to fully capture their potential, and to effectively take advantage of limited public resources. This includes public financing tools, as well as private partnerships, and the leveraging of resources. To support financing mechanisms in these areas, we provide:

• Collaborative development of policy and market actions with policymakers, stakeholders, and investors

• Global market assessment and identification of associated policy and financing mechanisms

• Measurement of economic, energy, environmental and health performance indicators

• Assessment of investment choices, including net impacts, regional inflows/outflows, productivity impacts

• Customization of financing mechanisms to specific policies, programs, and projects

• Coordination of local, state and federal programs and policy development

• Training and capacity building for full spectrum approaches to financing

• Policy and investment network development
