Juan A. Maldonado
Energy Supply and Demand, Emissions Inventory and Forecast
Ms. Lindquist has eight years of experience in climate change and air quality consulting. Ms. Lindquist has also assisted in analysis of GHG mitigation options as well as the development of GHG inventories and forecasts in more than a dozen states. In this work, she has supported analyses across nearly all source sectors/sinks, but the emphasis of her work has been in the transportation, agriMr. Maldonado is an environmental scientist with E.H. Pechan & Associates, Inc., with experience in state-level GHG inventory and forecast development. Mr. Maldonado focuses primarily in the development of GHG inventories in Mexico, where he has collaborated with the state governments of Baja-California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Sonora, and Tamaulipas in establishing their GHG emissions baseline. Mr. Maldonado is also a certified verifier with the Climate Action Reserve and regularly conducts GHG verifications under California's mandatory GHG reporting program (AB32), and The Climate Registry. Prior to coming to Pechan, Mr. Maldonado worked for Brenntag Pacific, Inc., as a Regional Safety, Regulatory, and Quality Manager. For several years, Mr. Maldonado was a project manager with Associated Environmental Management in Los Angeles where he assisted a wide range of clients to comply with environmental legislation [e.g., Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)]. Mr. Maldonado earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from North Park University and received a master's degree in theology and ethics from North Park Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in environmental planning and management at Johns Hopkins University.dquist has also worked on GHG verification projects for members of the California Climate Action Registry. Ms. Lindquist holds Master of Science degrees in environmental science and chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry from Transylvania University.

Colorado legislature raises state RES, move seen creating jobs
A coalition of stakeholders who worked on the Colorado Climate Panel's were critical to the new legislation’s passage. Since investor-owned utilities supply 60% of Colorado’s electricity, this implements most of the Panel recommendation (adopted by the Governor) on renewable energy standards (RES).
