Anne Devero
International Programs

Ms. Devero's primary role at CCS as International iProgram Director is to provide international program assistance to countries with an interest in developing effective policy responses to climate change. Ms. Devero draws upon nearly 20 years of experience in the private and nonprofit sectors and has amassed significant management and international expertise throughout her career. Ms. Devero worked for PDC (Partners) where she was responsible for forging collaborative and strategic relationships with the corporate sector around innovative development initiatives worldwide. Based on her pioneering work, Partners undertook a long-term effort to facilitate closer linkages with the private sector to develop sustainable Partners Centers and innovative programs. While at Partners, Ms. Devero was responsible for developing the country strategies for working in Peru and Indonesia, as well. Ms. Devero was a former partner with Coopers and Lybrand and senior manager with Peat Marwick. During her tenure with these firms she provided consulting to more than 150 U.S. and international corporations on the strategic use of information and communications technology to enhance access, quality, and productivity. Ms. Devero holds a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems management from the University of Maryland and a Master of International Public Policy degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C., with a focus on international energy policy and environmental studies.

New Climate and Energy Policies Could Create 2.5 Million Jobs, Hold Down Energy Costs
July 22, 2010 -- New greenhouse gas emissions and energy policies at the Federal level could generate as many as 2.5 million new jobs and $134 billion in economic activity in the U.S. while keeping energy costs down, according to a new report from the Center for Climate Strategies, published with Johns Hopkins University.

Colorado legislature raises state RES, move seen creating jobs
A coalition of stakeholders who worked on the Colorado Climate Panel's were critical to the new legislation’s passage. Since investor-owned utilities supply 60% of Colorado’s electricity, this implements most of the Panel recommendation (adopted by the Governor) on renewable energy standards (RES).
